Harry’s Cafe de Wheels – an institution

Harry’s Cafe de Wheels is an institution in Sydney. Starting off as a pie-cart in Woolloomooloo in 1938, it now spans seven locations across Sydney and Newcastle.

We grabbed a quick lunch at the Haymarket outlet.

I had the Chilli Dog, which was OK – a bun with some fairly bland Chilli Con Carne, a hot dog and some chilli sauce.

Not something that makes me want to go back and order another next time I’m in Sydney.

Cha had the “Tiger” pie, which was a pie with mashed potato, mushy peas and gravy on top.

Again, nothing special.

TLDR: it’s an institution, we’ve done it, no rush to go back.
