Dumplings & More – great value

We were just walking past Dumplings & More and decided to go in after looking at the menu, and it proved to be a good decision.

(We were in Footscray to go to Oriental Charcoal BBQ, but despite taking a booking, they weren’t bothered enough to actually be open. Genius stuff, that.)

It’s far from fancy, but the food is good and cheap. The service was “interesting”, given the woman taking the orders (and running the kitchen, it seemed) didn’t appear to speak English, but we got the food ordered, and it appeared in a decent period of time.

We had two dishes, where one would have done between us, TBH. Really big servings, amazing value.

Fried Dumplings – 15pcs – $9 The filling was perhaps a little dry, but a little soy sauce and these were terrific.

Fried Noodles with Beef $8 – big fan of this, with the apparently hand-made noodles, beef, veges. Excellent. (Yes, that noodle front-left DOES look like a snake, you’re right.)

All up it was $18, and they even gave us a couple of takeaway containers to take the food we couldn’t eat, and that will be tomorrow’s lunch! Hard to beat for value.

TLDR: good food, great value.
